Slowing Down in Schoorl

Dutchen invited us to stay in their Duynvallei park in Schoorl up north here in the Netherlands. We stayed a couple of nights in one of their cute holiday houses close to the beach. The house itself was incredibly bright and beautifully designed!

We had a living and dining room with high ceilings, a fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms, an extra two beds upstairs, a big bathroom and a one person sauna. We spend hours outside sitting at the big wooden dining table or relaxing on the deck chairs. We had a couple of days to unwind, slow down and to spend our time together exploring nature and living in the moment.

There were supermarkets such as the eco plaza close by to get our groceries and we cooked some delicious vegan dishes together! The house came with bicycles so we could explore the surrounding dunes! On our first day we had such beautiful weather that we could spend the day walking along the beach and dunes, taking pictures and having fun!

The landscape is magical and even on the following rainy days we used the dry periods to go outside for walks through the woods. It’s so important to take some time off and to try to disconnect from the outside world, I hope you all get a chance soon!
