Back to the Golden Age of Bruges

Strolling along the medieval streets of Bruges feels like walking in a fairytale. The old and still preserved city manages to spark a lost believe in magic. I could not kept my gazing eyes from the idyllic architecture by the canals. The facades of the city doesn’t seem to have changed all that much since the 14th century. Spring really thaws out Bruges that suddenly blooms alongside the flowers that decorate the city. The time for light dresses and skirts is upon us.

I find there is something romantic in lace. So a nude colored lace dress was an easy first choice for this antique city. Among my favorite and essential clothing, for spring, you will find denim jackets. The jacket is perfect to dress down for a more casual daytime look. Even with the cobblestone streets I still could not resist to finally wear open high-heels again. But don’t worry, for most of the sightseeing I switched back to comfortable flats.

When you find yourself in Bruges, you should definitely check out the VR-Tour at the Historium Museum. It is a recreation of Bruges in the Middle Ages. You get to put on a headset and a pair virtual reality glasses that will send your senses back in time. Inside this perfect little virtual world you can live out your dreams of time travel as you float, slide and soar through Bruges.
