After the rain comes the sun, so true for the ever changing weather of Amsterdam. Hiding from the short showers makes for a great excuse to browse through all the little shops hidden along the canals. It isn’t so much ‘flair’ but more ‘personality’ that best describes Amsterdam. The small streets are alive and filled with crooked houses, little bridges and more bikes than water. If you could walk through a painting, this is probably what it would be like. The many different styles and facades, bathing in the continuously changing sunlight that seeps through the clouds, still manage to feel like a whole. It is no wonder that there where so many famous Dutch painters, these streets make you want to pick up a brush.
